David Davenport class of 1966 "In the summer of '65, Scott Latham ('66) and I started a musical group with
a boy whose name I sadly don't recall.We played in the dining room at the
Golf Club once, and I'm quite sure we were awful. Then, after a lot of
practicing, we got to perform one night at the Uaddan Hotel nightclub. We
called ourselves Wynken, Blynken and Nod, but they introduced us as
The Stateside Singers. The emcee said Wynken Blynken and Nod
wouldn't mean much in Libya. We had a lot of fun that night."
